Kiel Police Attend Police Memorial Event |
| The Kiel Police Department honored it's fallen peers in Manitowoc County at a memorial event held at the Manitowoc County Courthouse on May 15th, 2008. The event was held outside the courthouse and there were several keynote speakers talking about the dangerous job law enforcement officers do day in and day out. Each department with a fallen officer from Manitowoc County was asked to read a brief statement and Chief Funkhouser read about Kiel P.D.'s own fallen officer, Edmund Hanske, whose name is etched in stone on the memorial. The police department's honor guard was also at the event and Officer Jeanty and Officer Blanke participated on Kiel P.D.'s behalf. |
