Welcome to the City of Kiel Police Department’s
website.
The City of Kiel is a beautiful community
located in both Manitowoc and Calumet Counties with a population of just
over 3,700 people. Kiel has a long standing tradition of having its citizens
experience a high quality of life and the community prides itself on its
cleanliness and community support for its citizens.
As sworn officers we are responsible for
providing law enforcement services in the city and our staff works hard to
maintain a harmonious relationship with our citizens, our businesses,
visitors, and both our public and private schools to ensure that our
community continues to enjoy a nice quality of life.
On our website you will find information about
our police department; including information about our staff, department
statistics, our community relations programs, our equipment, department
news, and more. You will also find various links to other areas of interest
including a link to sites with information about the City of Kiel.
We’ve come a long way in the past five years
and our future looks even brighter. Beginning in 2011, our police
department implemented a 5 year plan developed to enhance nearly every
aspect of our profession.
The plan includes
continued policy development and education including written testing
procedures for our officers of the primary policies we work under. The
plan also includes significant increases in our police department training,
including specialization training in areas such as evidence/photography and
more. The plan also focuses on our goal to continue to build on our
past successes in public relations. Traditionally, "public relations"
was held out for special events and for only specific members of an
organization. Our new motto is "Every officer. Every day.
Every Call."
I sincerely welcome any comments, suggestions,
