On Sunday, November 11, 2007, at approximately 11:22PM, police officers from the Kiel Police Department arrested a 20 year old man from Kiel on charges related to a Domestic Violence incident. While officers continued their investigation; the suspect escaped from custody and fled the scene on foot.

Officers from the Kiel Police Department gave chase and called for assistance from the New Holstein Police Department and the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department.

Deputy Todd Cummings and his K-9 “Grey” of the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department were able to locate the suspect in a residential area and officers then took the man into custody.

The man was transported to the Manitowoc County jail where he is being held on criminal charges of Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Escape, and for violations related to his probation status.
