Kiel Police Department Holds 4th Annual "Shop with a Cop" Event

On December 12th, the Kiel Police Department held it's 4th annual "Shop with a Cop" event and we are pleased to announce it was a huge success.

We had 19 children participate in the program this year, which was the biggest number we've ever had.  Officers from our police department, the cities of New Holstein and Chilton Police Departments, and the Calumet County Sheriff's Department volunteered their time to take the kids shopping to buy gifts for them and their families.

After shopping, we headed to the Kiel Community Center, where volunteers met us to wrap the presents they bought, eat some pizza, and enjoy a visit from Santa Claus, who arrived on a Kiel Fire Truck.  The kids also received fleece blankets made by friends and family members of our police department.  Each child also received a Movie Gallery gift card, a $50 savings bond, and a special present from Santa too.

All of this was made possible from funds raised throughout the year at our various fundraisers and donations made directly to the police department.  A sincere and warm "Thanks" to everyone in the greater Kiel community who helped our police department's program through generous donations of time, money, and materials.  You helped make the holidays brighter for a lot of kids in our area.
