"Shop with a Cop" Event Held on December 17th

The Kiel Police Department's 6th Annual "Shop with a Cop" event was held on Saturday, December 17th, 2011.  Law Enforcement Officers from the Cities of Kiel, New Holstein, Brillion, and Chilton along with Sheriff Ott and representatives from the Calumet County Sheriff's Department met kids from the Kiel area at the Wal-Mart in Chilton and took the kids shopping.  Afterwards, the children and their families met at the Kiel Community Center where volunteer employees, family members, and others from the police agencies helped the kids wrap their presents.  A pizza party followed, including a visit from Santa Claus.

2011 marks our 6th year for the event and we had the largest group of kids participating.  Special thanks to all the citizens and civic organizations that donate funds to our program, but also to the committee of volunteers who work very hard all year to organize and set up the event.
