Burglary Suspects Apprehended
During the early morning hours of 07-21-06, Officer Blanke stopped a suspicious vehicle in the City of Kiel. Further investigation during the traffic stop resulted in the arrest of two subjects for various charges including possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, possession of burglarious tools, and carrying a concealed weapon. Numerous items of stolen property were located in the vehicle. This property was identified as being stolen in recent burglaries in Shawano, Door, and Brown Counties. This traffic stop cleared multiple burglaries in those areas. Chief Funkhouser commended Officer Blanke's patrol efforts in conducting the traffic stop and apprehension of the two subjects. The traffic stop more than likely prevented these two subjects from burglarizing a property in the City of Kiel.
