Governor Doyle Visits Kiel
Chief Funkhouser had a chance to meet and briefly speak to Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle and his wife during their visit to Kiel on May 22nd.  During his brief chat with Governor Doyle, the Chief asked the Governor to take whatever steps are necessary to help schools continue to fund police liaison officer positions.  The event in Kiel was part of the Governor's day visit to Manitowoc County.  Earlier that day, the Chief and other law enforcement officials met with officials from the governor's cabinet.
