Kiel Police Launch Business Alert Program

The Kiel Police Department is now using e-mail notifications to pass on information to its local business owners and community members about significant events that occur in the city.  The system has over 50 contacts listed and Chief Funkhouser manages the distribution of the information.  The intent of the alert system is to pass on information that the police department wants to share with local businesses to notify them of frauds/scams in the area, recent crime trends, criminal activity that has occurred, crime prevention tips, severe weather alerts, and anything else that is deemed appropriate to share.  The Chief invites any local business or community leader to contact him to be placed on the notification distribution list.  All you have to do is send him an e-mail:  dfunkhouser@kielpolice.com
