Kiel Victorious playing in 2nd Annual "Guns and Hoses" Softball Game |
| On 09-08-07, Kiel's Police and Fire Department
members squared off against New Holstein's Police and Fire Department
members in a best of three softball tournament at Belitz Park in Kiel.
The team from Kiel won all three games; 5-1, 11-8, 10-5. These
wins mean that Kiel is now undefeated against New Holstein. As a result of the tournament win, Mayor Werdeo will have the distinct honor of being chauffeured in the 2008 Kiel Parade by Mayor Karrels of the City of New Holstein. During the tournament, food and beverages were sold with proceeds going to charities. Guns & Hoses T-Shirts were also sold during the games. We do have some T-Shirts left over.
