Officer Jim Blanke awarded Officer of the Year 2006

On 02-13-07, Officer Blanke was awarded the department's first Officer of the Year award. Officer Blanke was awarded this award after a majority vote by his fellow officers. The main factor in him receiving this award was due to his volunteer work with the Shop with a Cop program and his patrol work with the city of Kiel. This award was presented by Chief Funkhouser in front of the City Council.
